Task 5: How libraries are using social media (Use this as your subject line)

For this blog post you need to finds examples of the following from different libraries for each example. For each you must provide a link and a brief description of the content

NSW state library - Digitisation blog.

NSW state library have written a blog about the digitisation of some old fragile books from 15^th century or earlier. These books are called “Books of Hours” and were used as devotional aids. After the digitisation process the books have been loaded into their online catalogue so that they can be viewed, saved or reproduced by anyone interested in “Books of Hours”.

The video is about a man who grew up in the NYPL as his father was the library custodian. Growing up he had access to all facilities and knowledge contained in the library. As a young man he decided to build a boat and he used the information from books in the library to help him to design and construct a boat.
