Explain at least three issues (these could be
technological, social, privacy etc) associated with the use of social media
tools and applications
1. Fake requests from spam profiles. There are users who create fake accounts and these fake account users also lead to dangerous harmful viruses being let into your company devices.
2. Identity theft mainly the hackers involves creating fake social media accounts that looks like an actual profile of your company. Through this method, hackers will steal people’s confidential data, their bank or credit card details and this is a serious threat to any business as it imposes a high risk of losing new as well as existing customers.
3. Health risks for individual or youth. The real problem depends on the amount of time an individual spends on the computer. spending too much hours on social media may lead to an increase in the risk of heart diseases and diabetes, anti-social behaviour, eating and sleep disorders, loosing self- control and mental depression.
